The Mix of Memorial Day

We remember:

1. The deployment. Cam got to share with Finn's class this week.





Telling the kids to behave in Finn's class before the presentation.

2. Those who've served.  My grandpa Ralph was in the Navy, stationed out of San Francisco during WW2. 


My other grandpa served in the Army Air Corps and flew missions from Italy.  Cam's grandfather was also in the Navy and flew many missions on the Pacific front.  He later became a commerical pilot. 



3. Those who've given their lives.



Cam was finally able to get up to Mt. Soledad to see Eric's plaque. 

4. And we also ENJOY the day with parties, time at the beach, reuniting with old friends, etc., because we still have the freedom to do so.



We met up with Jill and her husband, Vinod! It was so wonderful to see them!


Best college roommate ever!! Summer is almost here! Pictures from Ally's birthday soon!

Contrasting this with my last entry, today I was certainly feeling lots of love, joy, blessing....and just plain old fun.

Soon, we will have another birthday to celebrate! Guess who is almost 5!!? And, Memorial Day is fast approaching.  


Hope every Mama out there got to enjoy their Mother's Day. This day was such a precious one to me. Cam made it so special. I even got to semi-sneak away from the kiddo action and give my mom a call! Love you Mom!! Video Extras:
