I hope our families are as excited to see us and we are to see them this Christmas!! Our travel plan is to set off tomorrow! Ally gave me some cute shots today. Her little eyes make my heart melt every time! She also has this crazy giggle that tries to get her off the hook when she's in trouble! And, it almost works. The look she's giving me below is, "Please, just one more cookie!"

Today, Finn turned from competitive soccer player to emotional couch potato between 10 and 11 this morning. He spent the rest of the day fever ridden, on the coach, perfectly happy dozing in and out of sleep. Every once in awhile I would hear him call to me, "Mommy!! I need some love!" I'd race in there, jump on the couch and snuggle up next to him. I'd run my fingers over his head, back and legs. That seemed to soothe his little soul for a time. Will his health be restored by Christmas?!
This may be the first and only Christmas we will be spending with both our families. Literally, on the day, we will be flying to see my family in the Midwest! That alone will be such a huge present for Finn, being able to fly! Their favorite song right now is "You Can Fly," from Peter Pan! I don't know if I'll even sleep well tonight! There's wrapping, packing and just plain giddy excitement!
