Cheering Up

During LIFT, if anyone was having a rough day or a "I'm taking myself way too seriously" day, Eric Terhune would crack them right up. He knew exactly how to lighten the mood, get people to relax and to not take things soooo seriously! : ) AND, another classic Eric move, if someone was acting a little dorky (you know the times, when there's this awkward silence following the dorky move...) Eric would join right in and be dorky, too.

I just found the funniest photo of Eric from Lift of him eating Oreos next to two 8 year-old girls. He's in his sunglasses, looking so tough ~ yet he's eating an oreo!! I'll try an get it scanned soon!

I needed Eric's humor after this conversation with my son:

Last night, as I was tucking the kids in early (cause I needed a break!), Finn said this to me.
Finn: "I don't like you mommy" (I wasn't even being a mean-mommy!)
Me: "Why is that?"
Finn: "I just don't like you. I like Laney's mommy."
Me: "Her name is Carrie. Why do you like her better?"
Finn: "I sat by her (at an Easter service) and I got to stay up late."
Me: "Okay."
Finn: "I like Carrie."
Me: "I love you, Finn."

Finn: *silence*

Aren't they suppose to do this kind of comparison when they are teenagers! : ) My goodness.

Baby Eric seems to be catching the mood of Terhune ~ he's the most laid back baby I've ever had. Loves, to eat, sleep and be content. He's still in his newborn sleepy stage, but hopefully, he'll remain this happy!!


As soon as we can, we'll be strapping an American Flag to his back like a cape and duplicating Cam and Eric's pictures from the top of each mountain we climbed! The picture below is from our wedding weekend.

Hard at Work

As I updated the blogs today, Finn came out from his nap early. He's keeping himself occupied with his Kumon tracing book. : ) He's climbing up the mountain with his pencil in this exercise!

Happy Birthday Finn!

We had a great 3rd birthday! Aunt Leslie came to visit and her present was a hit, literally! All the gifts were amazing and arrived just in time for the big day! Just us as a family were gathered on the 29th and it was really lovely!
